**Central Victoria** is a wine zone in the state of Victoria, southeastern Australia, taking in respected districts such as Heathcote, Bendigo, Goulburn Valley, Nagambie Lakes and the Strathbogie Ranges. **Wines & grapes** — Shiraz is the flagship, especially the deep, rich reds of Heathcote grown on ancient Cambrian soils.
