A Reserve Tawny from one of the Douro's oldest houses, named for the woman who ran the estate through much of the nineteenth century. Aged in cask beyond the basic ruby tier but without an indicated age, so it keeps more berry fruit than a 10 or 20 Year Tawny while showing the walnut, caramel and dried fig that oxidative ageing brings. Sweet, smooth and full-bodied. Serve it lightly chilled, and it will keep for weeks once opened rather than days.
