Tasting profile
Structure: medium-bodied, medium tannin, medium acidity, dry
Diren is a family winery in Tokat, northern Anatolia, making wine since 1958. Its Collection Karaoğlan is a single-variety red from Karaoğlan, a rare indigenous dark grape from Arapgir in Malatya province, eastern Anatolia; the grapes are brought to Tokat to be made into wine. It shows dark cherry and blackberry fruit with floral notes and a light touch of cocoa, moderate tannin and a fresh finish, and it is made to be drunk within a few years.
