Tasting profile

Structure: full-bodied, low tannin, medium acidity, sweet

Dalva is the Port brand of C. da Silva in Vila Nova de Gaia, a house best known for its old tawnies and colheitas. The 20 Years Old is a blend of wines averaging two decades in small oak casks, where the fruit fades to an amber-tawny colour and slow oxidation builds nutty, toffee depth. Expect toasted walnut, dried fig, caramel and orange peel with vanilla, in a sweet, silky wine kept fresh by its acidity. It is bottled ready to drink.

Serving: Serve at 14–16 °C.
