**Codega do Larinho** is a white grape from Portugal's Douro Valley, one of the region's traditional varieties used in both white Port and dry white Douro blends. **In the glass** — it leans toward soft stone fruit and gentle citrus, with a rounded, easygoing body and relatively low acidity that gives generosity rather than tension. **Where it grows** — almost entirely in the terraced schist vineyards of the Douro, where it is typically co-planted and blended with other regional whites to build breadth and aroma. **At the table** — good alongside grilled fish, chicken or lightly spiced dishes. **Cellaring** — generally at its best young and fresh, while its fruit is bright.
