Bosco

**Bosco** is a white grape from the Italian region of Liguria, above all the steep coastal terraces of the Cinque Terre, where it anchors the local wines clinging to the cliffs above the sea. **In the glass** — it makes a fresh, medium-bodied white with citrus, herbal and delicately saline notes, moderate acidity and a subtle Mediterranean character shaped by its seaside home. **Where it grows** — it is grown almost exclusively along the Ligurian coast, forming the backbone of Cinque Terre whites and, most famously, the rare and prized sweet Sciacchetrà made from dried grapes. **At the table** — a natural with anchovies, pesto and the region's seafood; the sweet Sciacchetrà suits dessert or cheese. **Cellaring** — dry wines are best young, while Sciacchetrà can age for many years.
