We've all been there. You reach for that Pinot Noir you love, only to find the rack empty. When did you drink the last one? You can't remember. That's why we built Smart Restock — a feature that analyzes your drinking patterns, shows you exactly what's running low, and uses AI to alert you before it's too late. Your Cellar at a Glance At the top of the Restock page, you'll see your overall cellar pace: Bottles consumed per year — Your drinking pace Bottles purchased per year — Your buying pace Net per year — Is your cellar growing or shrinking? Years of runway — How long until your cellar is empty at this rate If your net is negative, you're drinking faster than you're buying — time to plan a shopping trip. Five Ways to Slice Your Stock Smart Restock doesn't just tell you "you're low on red wine." It goes deeper with five views: By Type — Red, white, sparkling, rosé. The big picture. By Grape — This is where it gets interesting. You'll see that you're running low on Riesling but well stocked on Chardonnay. Or that your Nebbiolo supply is down to 2 bottles when you drink one a month. By Region — Burgundy running low? Piedmont well stocked? Now you know where to focus your next purchase. By Country — See your supply levels by country of origin. By Producer — Your favorite producer's wines running out? This view shows you. Each category gets a simple status: 🔴 Running Low — Less than 2 months of supply. Time to buy. 🟡 Getting Low — Less than 4 months. Start looking. 🟢 Well Stocked — You're good for a while. Dismiss What You Don't Need Maybe you tried Muscat once and decided it's not for you. You don't want to see "Muscat — Running Low" every time you open the Restock page. Hover over any category card and click the × to hide it. It's gone — no more nagging. But here's the clever part: if you later change your mind and buy a bottle of Muscat, and then that Muscat runs low again, it automatically reappears . The dismiss isn't permanent — it's smart. It knows you've re-engaged with that category and starts tracking it again. AI-Powered Alerts The dashboard shows you the full picture, but you can't check it every day. That's where the AI comes in. When you mark a bottle as consumed, Cellarion works silently in the background. It uses AI to understand the "personality" of the wine you just drank — its grape varieties, region, style, and character — and checks whether you still have anything similar in your cellar. If you don't? You'll see an alert on the Restock page: "No similar wines left to Barolo Riserva by Giacomo Conterno. Consider restocking." Not just exact matches — the AI finds similar wines. So if you finish your last Barolo, we'll check if you still have a Barbaresco or a Nebbiolo from a different producer. If you do, no alert. We only speak up when there's a genuine gap in your collection. Each alert gives you two options: Add to Wishlist — Save it for your next shopping trip Dismiss — Not interested in restocking this one And if you buy a similar wine later? The alert auto-resolves — no manual cleanup needed. Fast and Invisible For wines you've had before, the AI fingerprint is already cached. The entire check takes about 30 milliseconds and runs in the background — you never wait for it. Your consume action returns instantly. You Choose the Scope In Settings , you can control how the alerts work: All cellars (default) — Checks across every cellar you own. If you have a similar wine anywhere, no alert. Same cellar only — Only checks the cellar the bottle came from. Useful if you keep separate cellars for different purposes, like daily drinking vs long-term storage. Available to Everyone Smart Restock — including the AI alerts — is available on all plans, including Free. We believe every wine lover deserves to know when their favorites are running low. Head to Restock in the navigation bar to see your cellar analysis.
